Code of Conduct
Community Standards
Little Mountain Society is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants, families, staff, and community members.

All members of the community are expected to treat others with respect, kindness, and care. This includes respectful language, behaviour, and physical boundaries at all times. Discrimination, bullying, harassment, or exclusion based on identity, ability, or background will not be tolerated.

Little Mountain Society has zero tolerance for violence of any kind. Physical aggression, threats, intimidation, or harm toward others are not permitted under any circumstances.

Play fighting is not allowed. Even when intended as fun, play fighting often escalates, causes confusion, or leads to injury. All physical activity must remain safe, purposeful, and guided by staff direction.

Participants are expected to follow staff instructions, respect shared spaces and materials, and engage in activities in a way that supports the safety and wellbeing of the group. Language or behaviour that disrupts learning or creates an unsafe environment will be addressed promptly.
How We Handle Violations
When community standards are not met, students can expect to be met with empathy and understanding. Boundaries will be communicated clearly and directly to support learning and regulation. In the case of repeated infractions on the same day, a student will receive one verbal warning and may be separated from the group until they are able to regulate and rejoin safely. After a second verbal warning, the student will be removed from the class and parents or guardians will be contacted. This process is designed to prioritize safety, accountability, and emotional support while maintaining a positive learning environment for all.
