Art & Athletic

Youth Programs

Art and athletic programs by Little Mountain Wellness are designed to go beyond skill-building to intentionally connect the specific skills of arts and athletics to self image building, creativity, resilience, communication, teamwork, and healthy coping skills.

Designed & taught by experienced BC certified teachers and counsellors, these programs create a community where children grow before they struggle, developing tools that support them through both enjoyable and challenging moments in life. By combining art, athletics, and emotional development in a way that feels natural and fun, children don’t just participate, they engage, connect, and genuinely enjoy the experience.

Approach

As part of Little Mountain Wellness, Little Mountain Research & Publishing bridges counselling and education through evidence-based approaches rooted in care. By gathering anonymized insights from both our Therapeutic Clinic and Academies, we ensure every discovery strengthens the wellbeing of clients and students alike.

The Power of Perspective

How we view the world changes what we see. Is a mountain a symbol of something in our way or a reflection of our own strength.

Perspective can offer stability or create rigidity. When we learn to shift between lenses, zooming in for detail and zooming out for wisdom, we open space for compassion, understanding, and growth. Shifting between perspectives uncovers flexibility without losing strength.

Balance for Wellness

Between strength and flexibility, individuality and connection, stillness and movement, there is a rhythm that mirrors life itself. Balance helps clients hold two truths at the same time. I am enough as I am, and I can still grow.

This space between acceptance and change is where healing takes root. Therapy supports the search for harmony between both, embracing our humanity while nurturing our potential.

Intentional Design

Once we feel safe, we can begin to design with intention and become artists of our own lives. From a place of empowerment, we can shape our inner and outer worlds.

Intentional design is about taking back power and begins with gentle non judgemental exploration, uncovering existing strengths and reimagining how they can serve us. Even traits once viewed as weaknesses may hold hidden wisdom.

Emotion as the Guiding Light

Once we have explored multiple perspectives, how do we know which one to trust? Emotion offers the guiding light.

When we connect with our emotions and not fear them, they become not a storm to survive but a compass we can trust. The journey toward connecting with emotion can be joyful as we learn to release, build, and trust our inner wisdom.
